Services:
The Rev. Patricia Acker will be conducting a 6-week class on "Journey Through Grief" beginning Wednesday, January 25, from 3 - 4:30 p.m. until February 29. Footprints of the Master--Catechumenal Process The catechumenal process which we call Footprints of the Master is modeled after an early church pattern of initiating Christians into the church. It is intended as a preparation for confirmation but is open to anyone who wishes to reaffirm their baptismal vows. We will meet Wednesday evenings immediately following the 6:00 pm service continuing on January 25. Adult Bible Study will meet on Sundays, with our study of the Promised Land. Please pick up refreshments in the Graceway Café and then join us in the St. John's classroom for study and fellowship by 9:30 a.m. Note: Next meeting will be on Sunday, January 29 due to Annual Meeting on January 22. Congratulations, Reverend Patricia Acker! Grace Church is pleased and proud to congratulate our newly ordained deacon, Reverend Patricia Acker and wish her many blessings in her service here. There will be an official “Celebration of a New Ministry” at a joint service on Sunday, February 5 beginning at 9:00 a.m. Kristen Alday, Archdeacon, Diocese of Central Florida and Dean of the Institute of Christian Studies will lead the celebration. Following the service all are invited to a reception/brunch in Rev. Acker’s honor in the parish hall. Tax Time is Coming! -- VITA will once again be doing free tax preparations at Grace Church from February 1 through April 15. Days and times have not been announced yet, so keep checking back for more information. In the meantime, start gathering all that paperwork and reciepts together! OTHER NEWS: Box Tops for Education bring in $.10 each for our schools – Port Orange Elementary and South Daytona Elementary. A collection box is in the Narthex. For a list of brands participating, see October Grace Notes. T-Bag ministry - The ministry can always use your contributions especially drinks, and tuna or chicken with crackers. Thank you.
