"We are the church of open arms. We are a community that celebrates Jesus. We are disciples committed to growth: in membership, in outreach, and in stewardship. We glorify God and empower people for service."

  Welcome!

Services:

  • Sunday Celebrations of Eucharist: 8 & 10:30 a.m.
  • Weekday Celebrations: Tuesday 9:15 a.m. & Wednesday 6 p.m.

There are two, framed, “Embossed Origami Architectural Renderings” of Grace Chapel displayed in the Narthex. Please sign up if you would like to order.

There will be a memorial service at Grace Church on Thursday, July 2, at 3:00 p.m. for Don and Ruth Hevrin.  The Rev. August Sorvillo will officiate.  The service will be followed by a reception in Goddard Hall.

The church office will be closed on Monday, July 6, for the Independence Day holiday.

Bible study -- What does the Bible say about our relationship to God's creation? Explore the Scriptures from a fresh perspective. We began Saturday, June 27, at 9 a.m., for an eight-week Bible study. Enjoy fellowship, study, film clips and discussion, along with a cup of free-trade, environmentally-sustainable coffee and a homemade muffin. There will be no meeting on Saturday, July 4--we will resume on July 11.

Parent's Night Out--August 10 through the 14th. Call the church office for more information.

The ECW will hold another Karaoke night on August 14th. Donations of snacks, sodas and other beverages for that night will be much appreciated. Door prize donations would also be great. Hope to see you there! It is an event back by popular demand!

The ECW will take a summer break and reconvene on September 12, 2009.

The HUM Pantry at Grace is in need of cereal – please help!  Volunteers are also needed to assist in the Grace HUM Pantry.  If you can help, please call the church office.

Help Wanted:  Two volunteer positions are “open” – Bulletin folder, team 4; Visitor bread baker for week 4 each month for 10:30 service.  Please call Esther at the church office.

Nametag/greeters needed – You too can be a part of one the easiest but most rewarding ministries at Grace by devoting about one hour one Sunday a month to serve the Lord as a nametag greeter. This is a great way to greet visitors and become better acquainted with your Grace family.  The ministry works best when 2 people share the duty each week. This may be a couple or with a buddy. Please sign up in the Narthex for the 8:00 am service.

LOOKING FOR ADVENTURE OR JUST SOME RELAXATION?  - Imagine a week of life’s simple pleasures and natural treasures - beachcombing, outstanding bird watching, kayaking, world-class fishing, breathtaking sunsets and abundant wildlife, as well as, many turn-of-the-century buildings, antique shops, art galleries and award-winning cuisine.  Add to that incredible fellowship and fun with your Grace friends. If this sounds good to you, then come with us to St. George Island in early November.  Dudley Poe will be glad to speak with you and fill you in on the details.

See our Ministry page for more information about the Christian Healing Center and the International Order of St. Luke, the Physician.

HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU – Again, TWAG invites you to share your vacation. Whether hopping a plane, train, ship, or automobile to visit the grandchildren, a few days in the mountains, one of the many wonderful destinations in Florida, or far away places like France or Australia, send me a summary of the highlights to parish@egracepo.org.

Also, if you visit churches while away, pick up an extra bulletin to bring home with you. There will be a place reserved on the north end wall of Goddard Hall for display. Be sure to put your name on it so we will know who “our visiting missionary” was.
