OTHER NEWS:

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, designed for children ages 3-12, is an approach to the religious formation of children and meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a sensorial rich experience for children that give them the opportunity to grow in love and knowledge of God through the Christian tradition.  It is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the church, and the educational principles of Grace Church. Children gather in an "atrium," a room prepared for them, which contains simple yet beautiful materials they use to help them absorb the most essential proclamations of the Christian faith.  Children will understand the meaning of liturgical colors, the meaning of the Eucharist, become familiar with the prayers and sacred gestures associated with liturgy, and much more.

Youth Group--Our youth group continues to grow and bless many.  We meet every Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.  So if you are between the ages of 9 and 18, please join us in Goddard Hall on Wednesdays for fun, food, games, and wonderful fellowship.

A Call for Acolytes for the 10:30 Service-- We are in need of more acolytes. If you are a young baptized person between the ages of 9 and 17, please consider being a part of this important ministry. Believe me when I say that there is no greater feeling or privilege than to be called to serve at God’s altar.

If you feel called to this ministry and would like to be trained, please speak to either Fr. Rick or Rev. Susan. We would love to have you join us on the young people’s acolyte team!

Also, if you are a baptized adult and feel you have a call to become an acolyte, please speak to either Fr. Rick or Rev. Susan to schedule a time for your training. We would like to start having an adult acolyte team as soon as possible.

Both of these teams will be serving at the 10:30 AM service.

We are in need of having more Lectors (readers) and LEMS (Lay Eucharistic Ministers). Lectors read God’s Word to His people at the Eucharist, and LEMS serve the chalice at the altar.

If you are a baptized adult who feels the call to serve Christ at the altar, please consider serving God and your church by being a Lector and/or a LEM.

Please see either Fr. Rick or Rev. Susan if you feel that God is calling you to either or both of these ministries.

Box Tops for Education brings in $.10 each for our schools – Port Orange Elementary and South Daytona Elementary.  A collection box is in the Narthex.  For a list of brands participating, contact the church office.

T-Bag ministry - Your help is needed in buying crackers/tuna, juice boxes, single applesauce, granola bars, or cheese and crackers.  Monetary donations are appreciated. Checks may be made out to Grace marked T BAGS. Thanks for all your help.

Sophie's Circle--The first Monday of each month, Sophie’s Circle will run a satellite distribution out of Goddard Hall during normal H.U.M hours (9:00 AM to 11:30 AM). If you are eligible for H.U.M. or know someone who is, please pass this information along to them.

Remember that you can make a donation to the Sophie’s Circle basket in the narthex on any Sunday morning.
