What to Expect at an Episcopal Church Service
Sunday services in the Episcopal Church are centered around the Holy Eucharist — also called Communion or the Lord’s Supper. The service follows a rhythm of scripture readings, prayers, a sermon, and sharing bread and wine, creating a sacred space that feels both timeless and deeply meaningful.
You’ll notice standing, sitting, and spoken or sung responses — all part of the liturgy. Don’t worry if it’s unfamiliar at first. Many newcomers find comfort in the repetition and flow over time. Everyone is welcome here, no matter where you are on your faith journey.
All baptized Christians are invited to receive Communion, and those who prefer may come forward for a blessing. After the service, feel free to stay, meet others, and ask questions. We’re glad you’re here.
